My name is Jhanel Wilson. I am a real estate investor based out of Philadelphia, PA. When I first got started in real estate, I was working as a chemical engineer making a salary of $38,000. I needed to find a way to start investing so I started using FHA (Federal Housing Administration) loans to help me purchase my first few properties. Ultimately, I learned that FHA loans had too many restrictions. I needed to grow, but I had very few financial options so I got creative. I began using financing techniques like fix and flip loans using hard money, business lines of credit, business and personal credit cards to invest in real estate.

Nearly 20 years ago, my creative solutions put me in a position to save my Dad’s house. While being a full-time chemical engineer, I used student loans and credit cards to stop my dad's property from being demolished and sold at auction. I financed the purchase and renovation,then began cash flowing $700 a month, immediately seeing the power of real estate. I realized using credit cards and lines of credit was much easier than using traditional home loan products. Since then, I have used credit cards to purchase over 100 units and counting. I was able to quit my job in 2012, and I currently have a portfolio worth over 10 million dollars. Now I am showing how you can do it too!

My super power is simplicity. To take you from the “I wish” stage to the “buying your first property” stage. I know it seems scary, but I have provided the tools you need to be successful and make it as easy as possible. Real estate investing is more attainable than you think!
